Social media affords all Christians greater opportunities for practicing hypocrisy. Quoting scripture doesn’t make any of us holy. It’s easy to post a scripture knowing it may make us appear holy, but what if we’re not holy…and we know it?
What of those who may know of sins in our life? Sins, both private and public, are often held in quiet confidence in hopes that people will not find out. Of course, God knows. The danger isn’t in having our sin revealed, the danger is in not confessing it, repenting of it and asking God to forgive it.
Hypocrisy won’t get anybody to heaven. Redemption from God will. Is today the day you’ll take off your mask of hypocrisy and get right with God?
